Well obviously it has to be Sonay. How anyone else could be in contention beats me.

For me, Hep and Freddie deserved honourable shout outs; Ali Gray also deserved a vote, as did Cam who is very close for me and Lloyd as well.

My vote came down to Sonay or Jack and it came down to a tie breaker this pm - win it, and Jack got my vote, lose it and Sonay did.

So, well done Jack - he got my vote

I think that is definitely open to a high degree of doubt!

The thing is we all value and see different things, which makes it interesting. Personally, I would rate Jack D, then Sonay, then maybe Cam and Ali G equal, but it is a judgement call and, as I favour the mens game, I am sure that comes into my thinking. But you favour the womens game and possibly find it hard to see beyond the month Sonay had, and that is totally reasonable.

let's hope there are lots of votes to make it an interesting vote off

A lot who have done well, but for me has to be Sonay. Two tournament wins, beat players in 100 to 200 range in amongst her wins.

Jack for me. Two challenger titles very impressive, and I managed to watch bits of some of his matches!
Other worthy winners are available!

Jack edged it purely on the manner of his victories. I checked today's score at 0-5 And really didn't give him a chance as I didn't think he had anything left in the tank after last week.

Yes, Sonay not just won the two 25Ks but twice beat Lesley Kerkove from the top 200 and quite a number of other top 300 players. As I have said before, I often look at W25s as sort of mini challengers as opposed to M25s which are truly still futures.

Jack and Cam would be my main other candidate but Jack  'only' beat one top 200 player in his two title weeks though also two top 200 wins and quite a number of other top 300.wins in total in the month.

So ot seems to me that Jack and Sonay's overall ranking scslps aren't actually very different even though one is at ATP 80 challenger level and the other W25. When you then consider where they have come from it is Sonay for me, great month though it has been for Jack and Cam plus others' very good months.

19 votes in; last month we had 40 at close of voting so lets presume we are around half way. Lots more to come and plenty of time as well.

Time for my bed!

Yeah, the respective rankings of their 10 opponents were fairly comparable, although Jack was the higher ranked player in 9 of his matches, with 6 of his opponents coming through quals, but for me, it's mainly where Sonay came from as Indy was saying, being a MDWC entrant both times, and these just being her 9th and 10th ever pro tour events (with 4 of those coming in 2019 when she was just 17).

Brilliant month for GB overall though. Those two do seem the standout candidates, but plenty of others as well, even Katie B - I see she has picked up her first vote, and she has also had a fabulous month - went 7-0, W60 title, beat a top 100 player, decent win today to qualify for another WTA event (I get these wouldn't necessarily be particularly noteworthy when at her absolute peak, but certainly good for where she was only a few weeks ago), yet she would probably struggle to be in my top 5 relative achievers this month, such were the performances elsewhere.

Hopefully many more votes to come.

Difficult decision this month with so many good performances. I'd have voted for Cam if he had beaten Rafa to complete two great weeks. Jack did get his two titles, and there were others who exceeded there previous form.

But I nominated Sonay early in the month, and she had two great weeks taking two titles, so I'm voting for her.
