Great performance from Cam, really dug deep, very Impressive tonight. Evo not a great start either but gave it his all. I think we'd have all taken 1-1 at this point in the tie wouldn't we..?

I think this always had a final doubles written all over it - and the doubles is a toss up really
That rings a very vague bell! So that was last 8? I have a feeling Ram and Sock have played a fair few times ?
Only once in Atlanta this year making the semis. They were meant to play in San Diego last year but Sock pulled out at the last minute which is essentially why Rajeev hasnt been number one alongside Joe who then won the tournament with Neal. Also one win DC last year.
Jack Sock just hit Joe flush on the forehead with a massive fearhand. Rajeev thinking I want to win this match but Id rather you didnt kill my normal partner in the process.
Very even match, Joe looks like the best player on the court. Nothing between teams though. Surprised Andy opened third set after being broken but solidly held. Great match
Be interesting to see how Leon picks the team next time.
Play Netherlands, so BvZ and TdR are the singles players - Cam clearly at one; Dan or Andy at 2? Id probably stick with Evo.
Doubles - Joe plus Andy or Neal? I might well go Neal next time , particularly with Koolhof on the Dutch side. Andy to miss out and keep him fresher to play Kazakhstan if needed ?
It was a very good match, Rajeev was so solid. Being frank, Andy felt the weakest on the court to me. Although the bar was high and the gap was small.
The Americans are back on court today versus Kazakhstan, whereas we have a days rest until NL on Friday
Thanks Jon, I didn't see it. Yes a very high bar. While Andy is clearly a really excellent doubles player and has proven himself in the past he is not the singles player he once was and is presumably not the doubles player he once was, especially with zero recent tournament doubles involvement
It was as I indicated a big call to pick him over Neal. I did think that Joe & Neal had lost some matches together, so thanks wolf for the overall picture of these memories really being team matches and their tournament record being pretty good as it should be.
Yes, selections are going to very interesting going forward.
