Lord knows what was going on here - maybe nothing - but Oscar has just annihilated 20 year-old Altmane, who used to be a top-20 junior, and is now adult 617

Oscar is bombing along this week - maybe the exploits of Harry W have spurred him on??? Oscar and Harry both being in our 'near-thing' cohort of 2001-ers, along with Blu, rather in the wake of Jack and Anton.....

Oscar wins 6-2 4-6 6-2 having started the week on 5 ranking points making the final will more than double his ranking points to 13. Therefore reaching the top 1000 Monday week. Also should now have an SE for next weeks event in Monastir.

Excellent.

A great week for him. And still going.

With him, Harry W and Blu (all still Nexr-Gen) suddenly 'breaking through' a bit, it's adding a nice depth to the rankings of our younger players.

A propos of nothing, always remember Oscar as having the whitest of white tennis whites - he could have been a Persil ad...

Mind you, not always so perfectly behaved on court....but hey....might have grown out of that now....
