Week 15 - ITF M25 - Nottingham, UK (outdoor hard)

Dan Little goes down to Bemelmans, so with only Charlie v Jan to come, our last 8 is (almost)

(1) Antoine Escoffier (FRA) WR 219 vs Henry Patten WR 672

(3) Ruben Bemelmans (BEL) WR 301 vs Jan Choinski WR 558 or (8) Charles Broom WR 497

(5) Billy Harris WR 402 vs (4) Alastair Gray WR 310

[non-GB] (6) Filip Peliwo (POL) WR 399 vs (2) Hiroki Moriya (JPN) WR 264

So, most of the seeds survived to the last 8, Henry is one interloper and did v well beating Anton, maybe Jan can join him

Ali G's 3 points so far provisionally take him past Aidan to GB #9 and closing in on the top 300.

Henry is provisionally up to GB #20.

Charles Broom won the last singles match, so not much joy for our top 500 hopefuls here

the top three seeds are through (Escoffier, Moriya and Bemelmans)

the fourth seed (Ali Gray) has taken the first set. But he was well down to Billy. Who is a break up again....

Billy has now won 8 games in a row 6-0 and now 2-0 final set. Think I may have answered my question above perhaps.

I haven't really been watching much but from small the bits I've seen, there's been no MTOs, Gray doesn't have any strapping or anything, and he seems to be moving fine.

Watched the last 15 mins - couldn't see any issues - Ali G's backhand was a little wayward. And he didn't come into the net much - which may be because he was tired/carrying a niggle but may be because he was pushed back as Billy was playing well up the court, taking the ball on.

Anyway, well done to Billy

The only one to break the seeding
