Another Brit gets the chance to play Bemelmans. And Will Jansen against Mertens is interesting as well.

Moriya, last weeks winner, as top seed, did Escoffier pull out?

Dan Little went down 3 and 2 this am.

Giles Hussey went down, winning 3 games, disappointing he didnt get closer

Billy Harris is surprisingly looking like he will lose, a set and a break down.

Oscar W gave Luca Pow a schooling , winning opening set 6-1, big step up playing at pro level for Luca?

Henry Patten looking solid at the start versus Bemelmans.

Indeed, has just won the second set, 7-5. Come on Billy!

Oscar completed his win over Luca 1 and 2 however, and Will Jansen is also losing comfortably versus Mertens; Henry P putting up a decent fight against Bemelmans however

Well done Billy, he turned that around - as indeed is Henry who is now 1 set all and 2-0 up in the third.

And Will Jansen as well, who is right in the second set against Mertens

And Will takes the second set, impressive against a player ranked mid 600's and who is very experienced as well

Yes, excellent win.

Henry has a good week last week and has started off the same this.

He's one of our ex-US college cohort who have really changed the scene in the middle ranks of UK tennis these past 12 months.

Very similar to Charlie.

He's in my list for soon-to-be-in-top-500

Excellent win for Henry , that is really good.

Will now a break down, but putting up a real fight that bodes well for the future.

Will Jansen played really well to break Mertens when he served for the match.

And played a very good tie-break - 4 cracking winners and no unforced errors - really forced Yannick to make the play and come up with some excellent shots at the end.

Shame for him though...

Lost the TB 7-6(4)
