Not sure what is going on with Dan Cox as on paper he should be cruising his match and ge is a set and a break down. Bob will not be happy....

No need to rub it in everyone biggrinbiggrin

Don't worry, you'll just have to cheer against Billy today.

Except that Billy is already in the Top 500 and Stuart is one of those in the 500-600 bracket. Split loyalties. Sorry Billy. wink

That's what I mean. smile

Support the GB underdog...(unless both are outside top 500)

Oscar Weightman, the underdog, takes the opening set against Charlie Broom.

Oscar wins in 2 sets, that is a big win and upset for him over Charlie Broom - and not just an upset for Bob, either!

Henry Patten gets a good win and joins Oscar in the last 8

Henry was the big favourite at the bookies. He's got a lot of good qualities, that man.

Charlie struggled yesterday too, against Tom, so I was pretty much expecting an upset today, but thought it would be closer than that.

Stuart Parker beat Billy Harris in 3 sets - Billy had a decent week last week at the same venue so that is a good win for Stuart P.

We need Jan Choinski to win to make it 4 into the last 8, but he is struggling a set down and a break in his R2 match

And Jan goes down.

So, 3 Brits into the last 8 - Stuart Parker, Henry Patten and Oscar Weightman.

Of all the players, Henry Patten is the only player (man or woman) to reach the last 8 both weeks of the Nottingham events in April. So kudos for that.

Just need Stuart to go on and win the whole thing now.

Oscar's results are a bit odd, one tournament win and very little else.
I was going to suggest Stu should come though this match as should Henry.
