Darn, I really miss going to this tournament - a feeling that has been amplified now that I've found out my neighbours are going up there for 4 days this week. I'm not jealous, honest I'm not.

Could you get to Malaga if GB qualifies for the Davis Cup Finals , Bob?

Maybe.  Problem at the moment is time as much as anything.

Its in November so chance to plan ahead !

Caught up properly - that is a good win for Jack, well done indeed. Not far off top 100 now! Maybe in the grass season he can achieve it!

That is a fantastic win, beating an Italian on clay. Making the ranking gap look like nothing. No reason Jack cant be top 50 by year end. 100 is a certainty now barring any injuries.

Madrid plays that much faster than places like Munich where it is cold and wet, and slow. Madrid has altitude to speed it up, and viciously. Should suit both Dan and Jack

Good lord the Amazon Prime commentary is utterly vacuous.

I come back from a busy day to see that both Jack and Dan have won!  I know that Madrid has altitude and that there is more snow in Madrid than in London but Spain has seen damp weather these last couple of weeks just as Munich has. Fast conditions in Monte Carlo didn't help Dan. I wonder what odds we'd have had for them both winning in straight sets!
