Week 22 - ATP Challenger 125 - Surbiton Trophy - Surbiton, Great Britain (grass)

I'm about 5 miles away. There was just a lull but it is pretty steady again. accuweather reckons rain/light rain for another 60 minutes.

I have to say, Billy has just been on the receiving end of a very fortuitous call to break in the final set. Let's hope he takes advantage.

Assuming the long ball for the break point?  Disagree, I wasn't sure myself. I went back and re-winded the footage on the ATP site it looks long.

Yay Billy - brilliant stuff. (Surely the AELTC a will have to give him a qwc now?).

Really delighted for him.

He will get extra dosh though as he will get a minimum of 1st round losing points as opposed to FQR which from the draw sheets is an extra Euros 660 making E1320.

I meant purely for qualifying.  He'll pick up 1,320 euros, but no points, if he loses his first round match.

Billy Harris mixing it with the big boys. Great to see.

Yuichi Sugita surely the stand out player you'd want from that list. Not in the best of form and only there on a PR.

I was already rather more optimistic than some of his fans on here about Billy's Wimbledon qwc chances. But turning up and winning like this on grass helps even more. I'd expect him to receive one.

Now showing as live ranked 330.
