Jay got that opening set off Liam, 6-4. Shame it is all interrupted.

Does Surbiton have an indoor option onsite of needed, or maybe down at Roehampton. I want them all to be on grass, obviously, but clearly they should have some sort of back up available if things start getting behind over the next couple of days?

Mark's match resumed on the centre court - and he took the second set - yay, yippee, says the tournament referee, another set to get through before we can even move on......

TBH, he deserved one set - he should have got the first one, really. But one-all is fair enough....

Just started raining where I am. Will probably start in Surbiton in about 10 minutes.

I thought they might have to do this, hence my question on this and the womens thread.

It is a shame but needs must - let's hope they are fast indoor courts!

Can't see Mark winning on hard. Having seen him play at Wimbledon Q's a few years ago and a bit on Sunday he does strike me as one that plays above his level on grass.

And Mark follows Billy into the main draw ( biggrin ):

FQR:  (ALT) Mark Whitehouse WR 725 defeated (q6) Antoine Hoang (FRA) WR 236 by 6-7(5) 7-6(5) 7-6(4)  ban-woohoo.gif

The benefits of home advantage for once?  wink
