And they go down 4-6 in the third. Let's hope they can push on at Wimbledon

Can anybody tell me what the scoring system is for the mens quarterfinals? I'm sure in earlier rounds the 3rd set was a deciding set tie break?? And the mixed had deuce as a deciding point but not in the mens..confused.com

The men's and women's doubles have had normal advantage rules and full third sets with MTBs at 6-6 in the 3rd from the off.

Mixed goes direct to a MTB at one set all, and I assume no advantages, ie deciding deuce points.

And into a third, as they lose the second set 11-9 in the tiebreak blankstare

They had one MP at 8-7* in the second set TB though faced quite a few SPs before eventually losing it 9-11.

Now 5-4* in the third.

QF:  Ivan Dodig & Austin Krajicek (CRO/USA) CR 60 (26+34) defeated (1) Rajeev Ram (USA) & Joe Salisbury CR 3 (2+1) by 3-6 7-6(9) 7-6(12-10)  cry

Joe & Rajeev had match points in the tenth game of the decider & again in the twelfth, but couldn't quite finish it off.  hmm

QF:  (4) Marcel Granollers & Horacio Zeballos (ESP/ARG) CR 13 (7+6) defeated (6) Wesley Koolhof (NED) & Neal Skupski CR 23 (11+12) by 3-6 6-3 6-4   hmm

Bah, another MTB lost, 10-12

They were *7-4 up before their opponents got on top of a Joe 2nd serve and he then served a DF for 7-6*

Joe's anticipation and pick ups are so good though. He didn't look that far off getting to an extremely angled volley on their 5th MP at 9-8* in the MTB.

So close. Felt like Joe + were the better team, so it's a tough loss. Onto Grass where they'll be even stronger!

Any reason why Joe didn't play mixed here?

I presumed he is serious about winning slams in mens and staying as number one - according to the French Open player profiles he has won 2.7m euros now in his career so presumably doenst need mixed as much for the money...

ALso noticed, FO website says his coach is Justin Sherring - I dont know him at all, anyone know his background? Naal Skupski has Ken down as his first named coach (of several) so that was also interesting!
