Dan breaks at 4-4.  Federer / Sampras esque?  No. Huesler played a really crap service game.

Dan takes a leaf out of Andy's coach's book: Kick the guy when he's down.  Dan holds to luv, wins the first set.

Yay, Dan could a real help towards 20 in the top 500

This is Dan Cox, SC - as the next contender for the top 500 (he's right on the cusp after today's win)

And Bob and Jaggy have a gentleman's wager as to which will happen first: (1) 20 GB men in the top 500 (Bob), or (2) 10 GB men in the top 250 (Jaggy)

It's got legs, this bet...... smile

But is quite good fun, especially as it's all to the good - i.e. based on LOTS of GB players doing well....

My point was that there's at least one word missing from Indy's comment.

Evo v Sock will be fun. Id pay to see that. They attempted being doubles partners before Covid , in IW or Miami or somewhere - dont think it ever happened. But I suspect this will be spicy on court and heated as well, although I think they are friends they will both want to win.

With this and Andy v Nick K, this is quite a day of tennis l

I think Sock and Neal Skupski are close and nearly teamed up

If you like trick shots / shots of the month, watch the 5th game of the 2nd set.

It was so good. I especially liked Jack's 'dervishing' shot but as Dan said, '"not here for 'shot of the week' ".

Dan proving once again why he is the Brit of choice for so many tennis fans with a few hours to burn.

I absolutely love his game, unpopular round here, but I cannot watch Murray at all, Dan I could cheerfully watch all day.  He can be an utter knob sometimes and I'd be interested to know if he has every been diagnosed with something on the autism spectrum (ADD, ADHD possibly) but he sure can play entertaining Tennis.
