Nice easy win for Cash and Patten who - for some reason - were clear outsiders with bookies

You've got your doubles and singles mixed up!

biggrin

Brilliant!
Two weeks running Ryan has put out the 2nd seed - if he doesnt get a MDWC for Wimbledon after this, there is absolutely no justice.

missed the actual play as I am watching Katie.

Great win for Ryan! Such nice probing tennis for these final 3 points from 5-6*.

Was the point at *5-5 a DF? I missed that.

Man, what a great result. Especially considering Vesely had match point as a result of a double fault from Ryan.

Absolutely - I was all a flutter - so much going on biggrin

And, yes, as per Aberdaberdonian, that double fault almost killed me.......but Ryan did SO well biggrin

Was there today.

Ryan was the highlight by a mile - that was a really good match. In my view, if he doesnt get an MDWC its an injustice - especially with no points on offer.

On that note, if theyre offering no points, will it still be a mandatory counter for him?

Only a tennis nerd could ask such a question!  But it is actually a good question - I would guess that it doesn't count as a mandatory tournament, but this is only a guess.

I watched Dan E play Fabbiano at Surbiton a few years ago. I remember comments on this board suggesting that somebody was being optimistic re. Fabbiano's height. The ATP site states that he is 5'8" but that Gan "towered" over him.

Congrats to Dan Cox.  I remember a decade ago, there was a side competition:  Top Dan!  I can't remember who the third Dan was though.  If we go back far enough, there was Danny Sapsford.  Good luck to all our players today.

Yes - I remember that too And, yes, I think Dan Smethurst

We had a lot of Josh-es too at that time.....

Mind you, we have Dan Little now, as well.

So, again, three Dans in the top 800 - Big Dan, Middle Dan and Little Dan, who is truly Little Dan
