Mark Whitehouse had done ok so far this grass season, albeit indoors once or twice, so a little surprise at the bottom of the draw there.

 This is very slightly imprecise.

Players are entitled to have guests.  Obviously, players who have coaches will provide guest passes for their coaches.

It isn't a really a question of "guests and coaches".  A coach is just a type of guest.

And BTW, the no-coaching rule isn't really respected, either here or at other tournaments below Challenger level.

Anyone have a view on whether Toby, Lui or Stuart can threaten Charlie (Toby being first up, today). Or Alexis, Finn or Josh might threaten Anton?

Good luck to all.

Ok, just to set myself up for failure biggrin - I don't see any of those three beating Anton

But I think the top half is way more open

Hi is there an order of play available to see that you can post? I have gone on the last link that Lambda posted but it doesnt seem to have the OOP for today on there, just the draws and results!!

Typical LTA!!

Concur with your view on the bottom half of the draw. Hoping Charlie can get the win(s) today, but wondering if Lui could surprise us ? Often easier to be the youngest and no pressure (mostly plays #6 singles for TCU).

Sorry Jon, couldn't find one. Not put up on the event page, just the draws! And a quick attempt on Twitter didn't have anything either.

Thanks for the forecasting.

I expect Charlie, Stuart and Anton to win quite comfortably in their opening
Matches , presumably in play now. Josh v Finn I cant call - Josh had a good win yesterday but hard to see where Finn is at, hes been at us college hasnt he?

Overall, Charlie and Anton to come through Id say.

So far with rankings which is basic.....

Charles def Toby S 6-2 6-2

Stuart def Lui 6-2 6-1

Josh P def Finn 7-6(3) 6-4

Anton's still to come ....

Good argument that the loser of Charles v Stuart might also get a wildcard - both about top 500

Not so sure about Josh P's chances if he loses (or Alexis if he happens to beat Anton but lose to Josh)

Stuart has beaten Charlie twice recently, both in the British ITF events indoors back in February, 2 sets and 3 sets respectively.

Grass is clearly different but Stuart stands a chance.
