Week 25 - ATP 250 - Rothesay International - Devonshire Park, Eastbourne, Great Britain (grass)

I'm on Ct 1 Monday so fingers crossed Jack is in the top half and doesn't draw Djokovic, then there will be a chance he is scheduled for that court.

I imagine the organisers would be delighted with a Jack v Fritz or adm final, that would be very nice to see!

Sorry I meant Eastbourne as we are in the Eastbourne thread still!

I'm on Centre on Thursday, so I hope a Brit (as well as Dan, Cam and Andy) makes it through round one. My wife wants to see Rafa, I want either one of the top four few ladies, plus a match involving any Brit.
Oh, and if Serena's there there'll be time to go out for a drink or two.
Not forgetting ladies doubles to start the day perhaps ?

Start the day?! When do they ever put ladies doubles on at the start !? Its usually lucky to get near centre in week 1!

I meant doubles on an outside court. Last time we went in 2019 we got held up in traffic, and didn't get into the ground until noon - just as several of the British ladies were losing their matches. I have seen doubles on centre court in the past though at the end of the day when the singles have been short matches.

Not entirely sure it was fair to have Ryan play 2 games on the same day.

For real ?

Ryan was 3-2 up in the final set when his L16 match was suspended on Wednesday night and in the event only played 4 further games today to complete that match prior to rest and his QF vs Jack. So no big deal.

And with this being a pre Wimbledon event, so scheduled to finish on Saturday, it seemed even more obvious to play their QF today rather than double up full matches on the Friday or Saturday.

Apologies for the silly comments - I saw Ryans R16 score today and thought all 3 sets were today (yesterday now). disbelief

Settled down to watch Jacks match, who is the bearded chap with Annabel Croft? Added to my least favourite presenters list, along with Annabel  hmm

Go Jack!!

edit:

Peter Odgers is the commentator in question. Good to see Arvind Parrmar and Nick Lester commentating on Amazon. Now Sue B has retired,  Boris B is in prison and Greg R and Andrew C are just too irritating for words would be go to see a few new faces on the Beeb.
