Yep, it's really entertaining, isn't it?

And love the story about Cressey basically giving the French federation the finger as they insisted he change to be more of a baseliner smile

Jack's playing well, though ...

The thing is folks of my age (our age?) were brought up on a diet of Edberg, Becker, sampras and before that the Curren, Mayotte, Denton, Sadri and of course the Aussies - who all played what Cressy is doing week in, week out. People clamoured for it to go, it was felt to be one dimensional and boring. Personally, I also love serve volley and as a game we need more of it - a mix of styles. I hope he has success and more players are encouraged.

did I hear the commentators say hes drawn FAA at Wimbledon. That deserves show court status

What character from Draper to level up. He didn't let dropping that very close first set dishearten him one iota. Come on Jack!

Now let's see if Cap'n Jack can't tame the Franco-Yank:

SF:  Maxime Cressy (USA) WR 60 vs (WC) Jack Draper WR 108

Answer:  No, he can't:

SF:  Maxime Cressy (USA) WR 60 defeated (WC) Jack Draper WR 108 by 7-5(5) 6-7(2) 6-3  hmm

Totally absorbing match. Really enjoyed it. Maybe good that Jack gets a bit of a break before Wimbledon though I doubt he will see it like that.

Cressy the Brit Basher.

Evans, Norrie and now Draper.

I did feel that Cressy had that little bit more variety and experience at this stage for Jack, but a wonderful contest all the same. Jack going into the longest match of his career at over two and half hours. It will do him good.

What Jack has done here reminds me of Andy making his breakthrough all those years back, the good news being Jack appears strong and fit.

I would reckon / wager, Jack will be top 50 by year end. In fact , we will have Cam, Dan, Andy and Jack top 50

Looks v likely if he can keep fit. He's only got 68 points to defend until the end of the year out of his 537 accrued at the moment if I've added it up correctly. And he really doesn't look out of place playing against top 50 players, at least on grass. I really like the sound of his coach as well, he seems meticulous in his preparations for Jack while always looking calm courtside. He's also got a good personality which helps with all the interview stuff. I think he's lucky too having a few other players around him who are also doing well. From memory Andy had to carry a lot more of British hopes, which must have been really hard.
