I notice there is one alt position left in qualies draw, at the bottom, not sure if that goes by ranking or who is onsite or a Brit can get it ?

The slot has gone to an unknown (to me at any rate) Chinese, Shang Juncheng.

 Hes 17 apparently

For avoidance of doubt, this is a reference to his age (in years) rather than his world ranking.

He certainly likes a crowd. He likes it on his terms. He doesn't like to look an idiot, goes in for am-dram and rather French disdain, doesn't like grass either, not surprised that he really wasn't up for any sort of fight today. Was probably upset that his breakfast coffee was the wrong temperature or whatever....

With a bit of interference with the weather, Ali G managed to stave off set points, hang in there, and squeak out the tiebreak

Alastair absolutely had this match all wrapped up with a ribbon on - leading 5-3 (maybe 5-2?) in the second set - but then went for a spectacular collapse and we're now in the third set ....

He did fall apart quite badly, but he does have a very loud and funny supporter so at least thats enjoyable

Jubby fighting back after losing the first set on a tiebreak. Now 5-1 up in the second.

Which he takes 6-1 with the next service game. Come on in the third!

I don't know what I want from the Brits here, with Liam already home and hosed and others doing well.

Err, because I meant to have a bet365 'Lucky 15' bet on the 4 Brits ( basically 15 stakes, taking in all 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles and the full foursome accumulator ) but the odds weren't up last night and then I didn't get round to it today.

Hmm, come on guys, I think ...
