First one down:

And another one bites the dust:

QR1:   Dimitar Kuzmanov (BUL) WR 175 (= CH) defeated (qWC) Charles Broom WR 417 (= CH) by 3 & 5

But King Arthur bucks the trend:

QR1:  (qWC) Arthur Féry WR 692 defeated Thomas Fabbiano (ITA) WR 174 by 4 & 2  biggrin

Sadly, Stuart couldn't follow his example:

QR1:  Alexander Ritschard (SUI) WR 192 defeated (qWC) Stuart Parker WR 499 by 4-6 6-1 6-2  cry

Oh Anton, the Jodie Burrage of men's tennis? Ha.

He's got the game, clearly. Just needs to get his head together and focus more.

Very good commentary from the woman with the aussie (?) accent
Really unfocused play from Anton in that second set - just all over the place

Anton sadly seems to be going backwards.

The majority of the losses here are against guys who have barely played on grass and have come straight off clay events for the payday. Just shows the gap is still bigger to the top 250 than would seem apparent.

Good stuff, Aidan.

Love and appreciate your draws and results service, SC. Not sure about some of the associated commentary such as "rot" considering the odds the guys are up against.

The Yank despatched the q20, Manuel Guinard (WR 154), by 3 & 4.

Aidan's reward for dumping out Lama:

QR2:  (qWC) Aidan McHugh WR 353 vs (q22) Andreas Seppi (ITA) WR 149 (CH = 18 in January 2013 - he's now 38!)

not sure it is a rot, SC. As pointed out, it is quite normal for us to not get many wins in qualies as our best players are in the main draw anyway. This is the B team!

Well done Aidan, though!
