Remember seeing Alicia lose to Ellie Dean in a Brit Tour about 6 years ago. Never thought I would see her beat Venus Williams at Wimbledon. Not in a month of Sundays.

So happy for Lissey getting these moments. What a reward for her hard work and perseverance after a brilliant college career the authorities that be didn't acknowledge or value. Great stuff and the cash will be very handy!

Super for Lissey after also getting through to R2 in the women's doubles with Olivia.

Particularly after Lissey & Olivia got overlooked for a WC last year. Yes, I have read recently that their rankings weren't that great last year but Olivia in particular had had many injury issues and their results and ongoing improvement were why many here last year thought it was poor to bypass them. But we evidently saw more worthy of that encouragement than the powers that be.

Anyway, great progress since and now these rewards.

 Are ranking points usually given out for mixed doubles as well? Presumably Lissey would have been back in the Top 100 given her efforts so far.

Rather disappointed with the BBC Headline stressing Jamie and Venus's defeat rather than Lissey and Jonny's victory.
