Well, Finn did his job - eliminating the interloper - only for the Mexican to get a Lucky Loser spot - hmmmm

So did Mike Shaw, so at least that's one Brit

Wildcards for Toby Samuel, Arthur Féry, Will Jansen and Josh Paris - which all seems fair enough

Will be interested to see how Toby plays at this level on grass. Thought he was good without any rewards in Surbiton Qualifying against Max Purcell.

 Pretty well it seems!

Seems he's fast disappearing. Now showing as 15 cm.

Hed needs to lose a lot of weight - 80kg and 15cm tall is off the scale BMI wise - our Bob in Spain needs to get him on his fitness regime with some body lengthening exercises thrown in!

His profile on the University of South Carolina Athletics site says he's 6'3".  wink

I can confirm - having seen him 'live' last week - that rumours of him being the most height-challenged guy on the tour are greatly exaggerated

I'd be worried about trying to feed him volleys in the warm-up.

Just to add that the LTA, and Martin Weston on its behalf, have been lauding the feed-up system of wildcards that they put in place with the Progress Tour events - and they're quite right - no discretion - all clear and above board - you know what you're getting - AND didn't it work well for Toby...

Congrats Toby Samuel of @Game****MTennis, winning the @ITFTennis M25 in Roehampton. He was a MDWC having earned his WC by winning the @TheProgressTour in Cromer. @the_LTA have created a no. of WC feed-ups from domestic into international events so players can earn opportunities.

The feed up system is good. Stops WCs being a closed shop for those in favour.

Final:  (1) Julian Cash & Henry Patten CR 309 (155+154) "defeated" (2) Luca Castelnuovo & Skander Mansouri (SUI/TUN) CR 504 (267+237) by a walkover

The latest ATP rankings and the points shown in their activity show only 16 ( ie. RU ) points awarded to Julian and Henry rather than the normal 25 points for the title. Their activity does certainly show them having won the final by walkover but with the 16 points shown  confuse

That sounds like an ATP error to me, unless they have changed things for some reason, doesn't a walkover win still give you the points as if you had actually played? I thought it counted towards points but not on your win/loss record?

It has taken a couple of months ( no idea why ) but the ATP rankings now finally show 25 points for Julian and Henry for Roehampton.

I saw they both had gone up 9 points at 12/09.and I couldn't initially see why then recalled the Roehampton issue.

Net result is further CHs for both. Henry to WR 124 and Julian to WR 128
