Well, Finn did his job - eliminating the interloper - only for the Mexican to get a Lucky Loser spot - hmmmm

So did Mike Shaw, so at least that's one Brit

Wildcards for Toby Samuel, Arthur Féry, Will Jansen and Josh Paris - which all seems fair enough

How do you see the chance for Lui Maxted in the next round?

Lui is playing James Story, yes?

Well, they played on Friday at Paddington and Lui won, in two sets

SO that's very recent form to base the prediction on

BUT it was two close sets, and on hard, whereas this is grass which - in theory - should help James, you'd think

So honestly I'm not too sure (And haven't seen the odds) but, overall, I guess you'd have to follow the last result and go for Lui

Maceo Simpson is another LL.

There are 24 Brits in the MD. The 3rd quarter is all British with seeds (4) Dan C and (8) Mark W. Dan has an interesting R1 match against Arthur Fery.

Yes, Dan v Arthur and Mark W versus Dan Little are both interesting in that section.

feels like it is Ali G title to lose though ?

Dan might be upset and annoyingly might cost him my grass wins prediction.

And a combination of Ali G winning the title and points falling off those above him will just about seal a top 250 spot

In reality the grass should help for Lui, no? He is apparently a junior uk wimbledon champion, had a good results on grass too. We will see

Will be interested to see how Toby plays at this level on grass. Thought he was good without any rewards in Surbiton Qualifying against Max Purcell.

My rationale was that James' game is based on a strong serve and first shot, which will be exaggerated on grass

What do you mean about Lui being a junior uk Wimbledon champion? He lost in R2 in the singles last year, and R1 in doubles .....

I see that the Bet 365 odds are Lui 2.00, James 1.72

Which, I guess, is the punting public taking Friday's result and factoring the grass in

I think about evens is right, and there's nothing really there, but if I HAD to bet on those odds, my 10p would go on Lui

What a shame - that will sting

Funny that James v Lui was the exact reverse of the score on Friday

Pretty expected though, as above, given the grass

Mega congrats to Millen !!!
