Week 29 - ATP Challenger 80 - Rajeev Ram Foundation Indy, Indianapolis, IN, USA (hard)

What a super clutch tie-break from Aidan

Saved 3 (I think) match points

I honestly thought the other guy had it

But well done, our man

Sounds like there will be a LL spot in the main draw so Billy might get lucky.

Billy takes full advantage of his lucky loser slot - eventually:

L32:  (LL) Billy Harris WR 322 defeated (4) JJ Wolf (USA) WR 105 by 6-4 6-7(1) 7-6(1) biggrin

Wolf served for the match at 5-4 in the decider.

L16:  (LL) Billy Harris WR 322 vs Yasutaka Uchiyama (JPN) WR 243 (CH = 78 in November 2019)

Excellent win for Billy. I assume that is Billys biggest win by ranking. Also only his 2nd challenger main draw win with the other being the lower level 50. So arguably his highest level main draw win.

That's how to make the most of a LL spot. Well done Billy.

Aidan gets the win. After a poor start to the day it has certainly got better.

Here's hoping Aidan can succeed where Liam sadly failed.

Sorry to be a pedant but Billy lost the 2nd set breaker to 1 - he won the first set 6-4.

But well done to both of them - two excellent wins.
