The main draw is out and Ali Gray plays Arthur Fery in the opener. In an all GB top quarter. I think I counted 22 or 23 Brits in the draw.

Top quarter v tough in the all Brits section. Loaded with grass court players. Fancy Patten, Schoolkate, broom and Cox for semis. Going to go for Charlie B and Schoolkate in final and Charlie to win it.

Charlies draw is v good.

Those will all be wrong of course!

Ali G v Arthur was always going to be a close match, way closer than the dummkopf bookies had listed - what were they thinking?

And it's been a really good first set - lots of excellent grass court tennis from both (and a few howlers, of course)

But Arthur played the far better tiebreak and won the set 7-6(2)
