Goodness, Maia was looking super bouncy and Tigger-like in that third set - and really hitting through the ball too

She was 5-0 up, and won it 5-2

Well done, especially given her recent post-Covid health problems

Yes, really good by Marni.

She was indeed unranked at the start of qualifying but to clarify - she got a WTA ranking on Monday when her Roehampton point was added as her 3rd counter and 1526 is her WTA ranking.
