Match.
Thats a real shame, I wonder what it is with Nishioka? He seemed very consistent in his play but no massive weapons.
It really does not seem to be happening for Andy. What can you say about this match. He played, gave his best but ultimately lost. I love Andy to bits for all he has done and it's his choice to keep playing. I respect that. But, deep down, I don't see him getting right back up there inside the worlds top 30 or even 20. I want to be wrong but time marches on and the reality is that Andy is not the player he was. I can't even see him being seeded for the US Open tbh.
Hopefully, now I have said all this, Andy will go on a big run next week and prove me wrong.
Mikael Ymer is actually through to the semi finals to play Nick K. (He has won all his 4 matches in 3 sets, winning the 1st and 3rd, dropping the 2nd!)
Nishioka into the final where he plays Kyrgios. If kyrgios wins , Dan will remain at 39 in the rankings this week. Kyrgios is also in the mens doubles final.

For some reason Dan seems to struggle more against those players than the bigger guys hence why he has such a bad record against Nishioka and also a losing record against Corentin Moutet.
