Really good. Making the final will take Katie back into the top 200 ( live-tennis has her at 194 ) and to GB #6 above Lily and Sonay.

Checking Katie Swan's results on the WTA website, this looks like her first final at 60K level, she previous reached SF in Liuzhou, China November 2018 and Ashland July 2019. Katie won her first 25K in October 2017, winning at least one 25K title each year since then apart from 2020 when she didn't play after Covid lockdown. She's had a few encouraging wins and relatively close losses at WTA/Slam/Slam qualifying level but until now, not had much impact at 60k/80k/100k level.

Jodie 1-5 down

First set gone 6-1. Jodie playing some great points but also some terrible errors. Had numerous break points last game and each time hit long on a backhand return not really going for too much.

 Yeah, absolutely - she used to be 350 or so, a year ago, when she was 19..... I presume she's at college?
