Cam is 0-3 v Alcaraz , all in past 12 months and the scores are 7 sets to 1. Going to be tough for Cam but nothing to lose.

I saw a bit of Cam's match last night, and it seemed that he had just too much consistency for Ben, especially in the longer rallies. I will note Ben with interest though and wish him well.

I'm looking forward to the match against Alcaraz, as Jon says, nothing to lose, but it will a better measure of how Cam is playing than his previous matches.

On a slightly different note, is NoJo banned from the States at the moment?

Yep, they require a Covid vaccine for entry. Hes taking until the last minute to withdraw though, it seems, so is still in the US entry list. Dan is live ranked 22 and should be seeded 21 or so in the US Open. Cam is back to live 10 and could be seeded 9.

im not sure to be honest, Helen. What I can say is that the rankings really dont represent the true relative merit/status of the players at the top right now - they do the job for seeding, of course, but having Djoko down at possibly below 10 after the US Open is a bit of a joke really and means he could be playing top ranked players early in the end of season events like Paris. Be interesting to see whether he can make the Tour Finals as well?
