Interesting that Luke decides to play singles in a Challenger when he hasn't played since Jan. He must have had other opportunities to play in the 25k tournaments in the UK.
Luke won Nottingham 25k doubles with Charles at the end of last week, but it could be a while since he played a challenger.
That was doubles though, I'm specifically talking about singles. he hasn't played a singles match on the tour since January.. With his ranking, he would've easily got into quite a few of the singles draws at the the tournaments he did play so it's odd that he didn't but signs in as an alt at a Challenger. Maybe he doesn't like playing Singles against Brits
ETA I think the assumption on here was that he had decided to focus on Doubles, maybe he has had a change of heart after some decent doubles results

Hes an alternate so didnt come here with the intention of playing singles.
Absolutely but my point still stands, he could've signed in to any of the other tournaments that he played doubles in but he didn't so why here and now?

Hes next playing Mallorca Challenger in 2 weeks - week of 29th- presumably playing doubles but hes at alt 88 in singles qualies. Maybe hes just putting his name down as he is there anyway and seeing if he gets in to singles whilst there, but doubles is his main priority?
Luke had knee surgery in February and had 4 months off. He is now only just getting back to playing. Hence no singles. However he will probably be concentrating on dubs going forward.
