As is common, GB matches on at overlapping times. Can't decide whether to stick with Harriet or switch to Em and Ingrid. And then there's Liv and Lissey which might overlap as well. Guess I'll switch to Em and Ingrid, as I expect Harriet's match could be somewhat longer.

I'm not going to lie, it surprises me that anyone would prioritize watching doubles over singles, regardless of who's playing. To each his own, of course.

I actually do watch a fair mix of tennis from British Tour upwards, with the exception of men's ITF as I don't seem to be able to keep track of the players. But I do enjoy a good doubles match, and follow closely some of the GB women that I have either met or seen play live.

Anyway, Prime on the TV AND on the laptop deals with the prioriy question !

Harriet breaks back from MP down twice with a bit of luck. A net cord and a double fault 3-6 *4-5. Can she keep her serve and threaten. Amazon Prime just now for anyone still up.

Sadly not 2-6, 4-6 couldnt save the 5th match point. Best player won there always ahead. Onwards to US Open for Harriet, might be a tough ask to be GB number 1 at the end of it.

Shame, would've thought Harriet has enough game to be beating NPD. Not been a great hardcourt season so far, hope she can get a nice 1R at the USO.

Alicia could get top British doubles spot this week - shed probably need to win the title though ?

What is the situation with Sam Murray?

Lissey is 107 points behind Sam in the official rankings. She has a lowest counter of 50, so needs to go deep this week - probably needs to reach the final. And it is complicated with the USO approaching when there is a gap in the ranking dates. Coric is forecasting doubles for after the USO already.

Sam was playing at the end of July, but no sign of her in August so far.

Tight first set, but recovered from 1-4* and took it on the tiebreak.
