Weeks 35 & 36 - US Open, Flushing Meadows, New York City (hard)

2 qualifiers - Wang and Galan- a wild card - Wolf - and a lucky loser - Moutet- in a very interesting last 32.

Cam has found himself in the stacked final quarter.

Hard to see who will emerge but Alcaraz v Sinner as a section looks the likely one for
Me.

I think it depends how Cam is. He really didn't look himself last night and I wondered if he had a bit of a bug. I think he'll need to be fully fit to progress.

Andy looks beat here 2 sets down.

4-6 4-6

Broken 3 times to Berettini being broken once. Serve key here Andys is missing whereas Matteo is getting most first serves in. Also at the key points Andy has been serving into the sun. This match was winnable and still is but obviously the serves have to turn the other way. If that happens then its game on. Cant see it though, straight sets most likely from here.

Murray has faced 2,2 and 1 break points in the opening 3 service games and has only won a points on Matteos serve. Lucky with a couple to get away intact a few dumped in the net. The task is getting even tougher cant keep up these poor service games with nothing in return. Surely he will see something, he needs to.

4-6 4-6 3-2* Berretini

Could Jack's first serve be any worse if he tried?

A glimmer for Andy who gets to 15-30 but 2 awful unforced errors and the opportunity passes. Biggest game of the match coming up could be all over in the next 5 minutes.

35% first serves for Jack in the first set - it's like shooting yourself in the foot

Another hold to 30 from 15-30. Im gonna say he has to break here because I cant see him winning a tie break the way they are both serving. Hopefully he can steal it here

Thats was quick, only 4 points won on return tells a story for Andy. The first point in each hes faced a first served. 76% first served percentage from Matteo.

4-6 4-6 *5-5

Andy hangs on and saves them both for Deuce. First serves were key in both.

Another double for Andy again at the key time brings up another break point but Andy more aggressive and just about holds on. Also had a very fortunate net cord that was going out. This match should really be over. Andy cries out a come on and looks pumped now !

4-6 4-6 6-5*

Two break time. Andy at least gets him to Deuce but hes got to be strong underdog for the first break.
