Nava has gone to pieces, he really has. Seems like he only had one good set in him.
Spare a thought for Tracey Austin's son, Brandon Holt, losing on a fifth set tie break after taking the first two sets, the American's thought they had a fairy tale on their hands when Holt took the first two sets.
It seems Jaggy had a point! Certainly easier than I expected after the struggle in the first set. Naomi Broady on the Beeb's text commentary:
You cannot make up for experience. The top players have been in every single situation, especially the ones who have won Grand Slams.
Murray didn't looked panicked when he lost the first set. And I felt the same. You just knew that Nava could not sustain such a high level of tennis.
I would be very curious to see the racquet head speed for Murray. I would imagine it is quicker, and it is just taking the time away from Nava. Has he got quicker because Nava has dropped his level or was it Murray who made the first move?
L64: Andy Murray WR 51 defeated (WC) Emilio Nava (USA) WR 203 by 5-7 6-3 6-1 6-0
Hugo Grenier, a lucky loser, or, more likely, Matteo Berrettini (13), a personal favourite, in the last 32.

Like Rich, I can't see Andy winning that one.
Andy's comments on the match against Berrettini (from the Beeb):
Asked about a possible meeting with Berrettini, Murray said: "He's had a bit of an unlucky year. I know he got Covid at the beginning of Wimbledon. When he has been on the court he's done really well.
"We played a tough three-set match in Stuttgart. I'm expecting it to be really difficult, but if I play well and my return's on point, then I've got a good chance."
Naomi B:
I think Murray was referring to a tough year for Berrettini. He has been out and not as match fit as he would be at this time of year. The fact he has dropped a set today shows me he's at a human game-style and level. If Andy plays as aggressively as he did today it will be difficult for anyone."
I think Andy has a good chance against Berretini also. Meanwhile our Jack is going to have to wait a bit due to Nick undermining himself in his inimitable way, which is a bit annoying (timing wise for Jack and us)
First set Jack. FAA was always going to be a good test of Jack's development, and given both of their trajectories + number of matches on tour, etc Jack's ceiling is pretty damn high right now. Very exciting (whatever happens in this match).
