Well, I think the take-away from that has to be: well done, Ben - that's two super results you've put out there, should be a new CH coming up, into the top-1000? - and great wildcard choice by the LTA

Ive always liked Ben since I saw him playing Matt B down in Tonbridge. He received so much horrible verbal abuse from his opponent, didnt let it rile him, carried on in a calm and professional manner and got the win! Nice to see him doing well!!

Arthur has started poorly, making some sloppy errors and being too approximate on other shots

0-3

Well, I don't know who Matt B is but he doesn't sound like a nice guy no

Well done to Ben for ignoring him !

And, yes, it's a great SF chance for him - and for Harry too, of course - a real big pointer for both of them

I was trying to work out who Matt B is as well. The only person I could come up with was Matty Beecher, but I somehow doubt his dad would let him behave like that on court.

Super win from Dan Cox

He really had to battle hard to get that one

And he was playing some super points at the net - if a little unorthodox - when you're only 5ft 6, you've got to jump about and throw yourself about a bit

Or not ----- the third set really took off - some great tennis - Arthur's legs with a little dynamo battery in them....

But at 5-3 he sort of didn't try for the next game - save yourself for serving it out has some logic - BUT if you're not a huge server, once you allow your body to relax slightly, it's difficult to tense it up again - and, sure enough, he then played a rather weird game and got broken back to 5-5

I see Arthur is only player in last 8 of singles and doubles here. ANd playing Tsitsipas Minor in his QF doubles match!
