Wow - how good was that after 2 months out?!!

Not sure "I feel I can beat anyone" in the post-match interview on court will go down too well with some, but it was about the only mistake Jack made all afternoon!

Bold statement time: Jack will be GB number 1 this time next year and make a Slam Quarter final.

Based on todays performance I would describe that as a modest prediction, not a bold one.  He's either going to be 1 or 2 and a slam 1/4 is well within his reach.  Quite stunning from Jack, a pretty complete performance.

Assuming he can stay fit - still injury prone...

Excellent, well done Jack, and a really interesting match next. And well done, Evo, I know he beat TG in Glasgow recently, but this was convincing as well in a near home tie for Griekspoor. Good results all round

In context he didnt sound like he was bragging to me, just confident with his game right now.

Lots of coaches, players and parents read the forum, some contribute, some don't.

Indeed, I know, and I have conversations with many of them. But those who contribute and make you laugh, or give interesting insights, are obviously more appreciated in terms of the forum because they 'belong' to the forum and make it a richer place, as opposed to just skimming along on the surface (which the others are very entitled to do, of course, no problem at all, it just doesn't add the same value)

So, a special congrats and good luck to Matt, as far as I'm concerned
