Won't quite. Though Tommy Paul had motored to 5-1*.

And wins as well. Though it is now 7 mins to midnight in Paris so cams start will be certainly around the midnight mark. Which is just plain daft.

Not seen Moutet before - hes serving less than 160 kpmg/ 100 mph and serving and volleying on each service , first certainly . Hes dropping volleys, playing squash on a tennis court, generally tying Cam in knots.

Somebody said it was a fast court - Id say it was bouncing low, but not fast. Certainly wouldnt help the likes of Rafa. Cam is off though and making lots of mistakes, caused a lot by Moutet mixing it all up. Has Moutet ever played Evo?!

Moutet just hit a lob of his lifetime. Hes just toying with Cam. And Cam isnt playing badly. Moutet is just on it.

All fall down:

L32:  (Q) Corentin Moutet (FRA) WR 64 defeated (12) Cameron Norrie WR 13 by 6-3 5-7 7-6(3)  bleh

What a battle & so unfair on the players to be finishing so late!

I had to leave it at just the start of set 3, it was around 1.20 our time, so presuming this finished after 3 am local time? It had been a great match to watch, shame Cam couldnt quite do it - but this was all about Moutet and his racket and he was a revelation to watch. I am presuming the phrase mercurial Frenchman applies directly to him!

Hadn't realised Cam was playing last night. What a stupid time to start a match.

That match lasted just over two hours & 52 minutes.  Poor Moutet is now back on court to face Tsitsipas...  disbelief

Alcaraz retired from his semi as Rune moves to the semis, joining FAA who also made it earlier.

Comment - is FAA playing the best tennis in the world at the moment?

Mike Dickson also calling out the late finishes here

www.mailplus.co.uk/edition/sport/tennis/233654/norries-3am-finish-was-ludicrous...-why-is-tennis-pushing-itself-to-the-margins

Sadly its behind a pay wall and I dont intend to fund the Daily Mail, so could only read the first para! If anyone can see
The whole article, would they please cut and paste it?
