Week 44 - Rolex Masters 1000 - Paris (Bercy), France (indoor hard) - doubles

A deserved victory. The second set was fun. Lloyd seems to sometimes get stuck in a loop of never playing the obvious shot - today he was going for lob after lob, and there was a period where that was quite effective, but sometimes you just have to hit a normal rally shot, and he very seldom did today. Some incredible inside out backhand volleys from below the net from Wes is the MTB really made the difference.

Well done Neal & Wes! 10 years ago the idea we'd be the strongest nation in any of the 4 disciplines of tennis would have seemed far fetched, but with 3 players in the tour finals we are definitely the strongest right now in this one! I hope for a Slam title for each pair next year....

For Neal and the Dutch guy, third masters win of the season after Madrid and Canada. A tour finals win for one of our 3 in Turin would be nice ! For Neal, it is then about winning a slam!
