Week 44 - ATP Challenger 80 - Jonathan Fried Pro Challenger - Charlottesville, VA, USA (indoor hard)

Lloyd and Harri snuck into the AO last year and look where they are now. Henry and Julian giving themselves every chance of doing the same.

Nice callback which illustrates what an incredible year Lloyd has had. Not quite Player of the Year but an honourable mention.

Maybe not quite but are Julian & Henry putting themselves into the the PoS mix? 14th and 13th titles of the season respectively, 11th as a pair including 7 challenger titles.

SF:  (6) Ben Shelton (USA) WR 156 defeated Paul Jubb WR 220 by 7-6(6) 3-6 7-5  hmm

He was up a break in the middle of that third set.

Just to confirm the quality of Ben, and HOW tight that match was for Paul:

From Colette:

"2022 NCAA singles champion Ben Shelton won his 13th consecutive Challenger match today, defeating Prajnesh Gunneswaran of India 6-3, 7-5 in the quarterfinals of the ATP Challenger 80 in Champaign. With the victory, the former Florida Gator clinched the USTA's Australian Open wild card, with the only question now whether he will need it. If Shelton wins the title in Champaign, which would be his third straight, he will crack the ATP Top 100 and would be in the Australian Open without the wild card. In that case, it would go to Christopher Eubanks(Georgia Tech), who is in second place in the race....."
