They met in Edgbaston in 2017 with Katie winning in three.

Amazing to think they have only met once on tour - anyone know if they played in any domestic events such as UKPL at any time?

Wonderful start to the year! Does anyone know if the rankings will be updated in time for Aus Open qualifying seeding? I think even Heather might squeeze into a seeded spot.

Shame about the way Jodie got there but great to see them both in the final.

Havent seen any of Katies matches but based on the score lines and seeing Jodies matches Id give the edge to Katie here.

I never remember which week's rankings apply for qualifying, but as you say, Heather would just squeeze in if this weeks points are included.

According to Darts, Jodie is at 27, Katie B at 31, Heather is 2 out and Katie S is 8 out. From live rankings for next Monday Katie S would be in at 28, and Heather would just miake it at 32.

Katie beat Jodie 3-6, 7-6, 6-2 in the Progress Tour final 2020 held just after lockdown and also 6-3, 7-6 in the group stage a couple of days earlier.

The draw is on Sunday isn't it? So current rankings will be used for seedings.

Be an interesting final. Katie does look to be the real form player of the week.

Whoever wins this is a cracking start to the year. Clever scheduling by our girls.

Anyone wanting to contribute to help Denise Coates somehow eek out a living, her bet365 offer Katie 4/9 vs Jodie 13/8.

Other poorer CEOs' betting firms are available.

Watching the third set and it is a low quality match at this point; I've barely seen a rally over 3 shots.

That explains the rather quick match time for a 3 setter. I'm rather relieved that it wasn't a long drawn out affair. With both having a good chance of qualifying for the AO next week they need to conserve energy. Hopefully, they'll be scheduled for Tuesday for an extra days rest.
