Harri had some physio at the end of the second, but the Aussies hit hard and broke down their net play. Tbf Kubler is a mixed finalist last year here. The good news is Lloyd appears to be returning a lot bette this year so far.
Mens doubles last 8 a bit all of the place. 4 seeded pairs left, of the 16 players 4 are French (Chardy and Martin, Rinderknech and Bonzi), 3 are Aussie (Kubler, Hijikata, Peers).
Good opportunity if Neal and Wes can take advantage - Kubler and Hijikata next
The defeat for Joe/Rajeev guarantees that Neal and Wesley will return to the joint Nº1 spot at the end of the AO, even if they don't go any further. If they were to win the tournament, they would be a full 2000 pts ahead.

Of course , Neal hasnt got a slam title before in mens doubles and only last seasons us open as a finalist. So right now Id say this is all about nailing that title win. and the draw is certainly open for them. Go Neal and Wes!

Agreed. I am sure the two of them would value a Slam win even higher than the Nº1 spot.
