Yes, very strange in a 2 week Slam, and at least here a third set in mixed doubles being a MTB.
I don't think this effects the argument at all that Wimbledon switching its men's doubles to best of 3 sets should encourage a few more singles players to give it a go.
Might it be partly the weather here? They never play the night matches and rarely play 1st thing in the morning so probably get the hottest times of the day for both matches.
