Thought he might have pulled out of this given the distance
Ryan is down for all 3 weeks, fairly weak fields so could end up in the top 100 by the end here. Jay as well 2 or 3 good runs to take him back into the top 250 maybe

Yes, I know what you mean. Always interesting to see what children of professional sportspeople do in the same sport. Looked on Wikipedia out of curiosity and last para below:
Borg made the largest leap in the world tennis rankings of any professional player in the calendar year 2022, moving up over 1500 spots and ending the year at world no. 506.[10]

Leo initially got a lot knocks from folks on social media, at ITF level, partly cos he isnt his Dad and also because he got a fair few initial wild cards, in large part due to his name. And is early pro results didnt justify those. ie he lost a lot.
But he steadily improved and rose up the rankings and around 500 isnt too bad - but clearly, he is getting this wild card and others due to his Dad again. Whether that is justified or fair is a personal judgment and the event will argue he brings publicity and interest with him, I guess. But still a lot of deserved cynicism out there
