Players have their ceilings I suppose is the issue. Can we really see Billy and Stuart in the top 200? The evidence suggests probably not but then I dont think many had Ryan as a potential top 100 players either.
I think a lot had come to the conclusion that Billy had hit his ceiling a few years back when he was stuck for so long in the 500/600s. Then something clicked and he quickly sailed up the rankings.
I am not saying that is going to happen again, but I'm not saying it won't, either.
Yes I get that totally Bob, there is also a degree of luck required. Maybe Billy isnt still 100% fit just now. Injuries can linger, the players that rise the most largely stay fit and play 30 tournaments a year.
