Likely be Stricker next who is a top 100 player pending in reality. Considering the field here generally thats 3 tough matches. Reward could very well be the title given the rest of the seeds are out. Be interesting to see Liams clay schedule after this Swiss swing. Hes probably going to still be outside Slam entry for the grass season but certainly US Open swing is a possibility.
Liam is dropping 71 points this week from IW and Phoenix last season, taking him down into the 160's but is already fighting that back with a good week this week.
He then only loses 6 more points from Belgrade below between now and the grass season.
Allowing for IW/Phoenix dropping off and what he has from Lugano this week already, he is on a live 373 points in 159th in the rankings.
Top 100 is 537 points right now, so he needs 164 points nett, 170 points gross to get to that level ie top 100 by grass season.
Is that do able in March, April and May? I would say it would be? A stretch maybe but do able - winning this week would give 59 more of them on top of what he already has secured...
Liam had 4 BPs in the third game but was not permitted to capitalise. It is now 3-2 for Liam with Stricker about to serve. This match is a very decent standard and could go either way.
