Jack comes thru 6-3, 7-5. Not a super high standard, Jack will need to do better to progress further. But winning when you aren't playing your top level is a very important skill. He saved 11 of the 12 BPs he faced.
For me, the stand out shot of the match was the Baez up the line forehand when he pulled the trigger. He probably should have used it more.
Important to remember that this is only Jack's 2nd tour-level tournament on clay and only his third match. So very good win against a good clay courter. Herbie on clay will be a tough test but certainly not beyond Jack.

Cam really off the boil at the moment
To be fair , cam beat alcaraz to win Acapulco recently, did fine at Indian wells, was it last 8. Hes only played Miami since I think. so hardly off the boil !
maybe My detail is slightly wrong but he started the season like a train, and hes had two disappointing events. Your judgment is harsh here, id say!
The stream showed Jack's coach on a couple of occasions - Matt James. Jack must have parted company with James Trotman. Does anyone have any further information on this?
Watching this match was so, so much better without the commentary. I wish there was a button to turn the commentary off for these live streams.
