Great chance for Jan - great experience playing at such a big event

Solid player but unspectacular. He lost in the final of the Murcia Challenger a few weeks back. Billy/Akira beat him (+1) in the doubles. Good chance for Jan in my opinion.

I think Edmund has a chance against Thiem.  Thiem will always have an * on his grand slam win, and this caused him major mental stress, the fact no body respected him, and he has fallen down the rankings.

Probably Thiem ( CH 3 and an Australian Open and French Open finalist in addition to his US Open win ) just p***ed off someone who told us that no 1990s born player was ever going to win a men's singles Slam

Is there a record of the number of wildcards a player has received in their career coz Thiem has to be right up there.

Andy actually holds it (possibly still alongside Tommy Haas)

https://www.tennis365.com/tennis-news/andy-murray-equals-wildcard-record-mark-petchy-victoria-azarenka/

Thiem is a Grand Slam winner, with or without a * so he is a well known draw for tournaments and I think he can get WC for life?
