Andy really fought back and played much better in the second set and it looked like he might be going to take it. Not to be though, and to be honest he seem ed be suffering with a stomach complaint anyway. We saw a bit of Murray magic but not quite enough.
There was a bit of chat on Radio Five Live later with Russell Fuller discussing Andy and clay and grass. Andy was in a conundrum between wanting to play France Open, but some of his team dont think he should, and stopping the clay and focusing on the grass where he still thinks he has a genuine chance.
Andy for me, makes many emotional decisions and sometimes needs people who he trusts to tell him the way - I dont see any value in prolonging the clay courts through France - if he needs matchplay, play ROme of course, but dont play RG, IMO. Get on the grass, start in Surbiton and then, like before, through Germany/NL, Queens and into Wimbledon where he can still go into week 2 and cause a lot of trouble.
