Andy back in the top 50 now , a win could take him to 42. Not far off a Wimbledon seeding position if he can get the win tomorrow.

I can't see him winning the final but this is some week given the circumstances

Tommy Paul had a 2-7 clay win loss record last season and was 0-1 this season before this week. So hes not got a great clay pedigree. I think it could be a very tight match and Andy could frustrate him into mistakes and grab the win. 3 sets.

Great result for a tough challenger! Great points too. Wimbledon seeding a possibility?

Well, I was one who thought he should be giving clay a miss but well done Andy on winning such a strong challenger!

And if he ends up doing so well on clay and initially on grass that he is seeded for Wimbledon I guess that has to be positive.

Great week. Beating world #17 in the final still shows how dangerous Andy can be. Really hope he can get that Wimbledon seeding. You can bet he will be working his butt off to try and get there.

Andy very complementary about the amazing crowds and that does seem to be a feature of French challengers.

Also, full end to end video of the match on the atp.
