He's managed the first:

L16:  (3) Jay Clarke WR 518 defeated Leonardo Catani (ITA) WR 1188 by 7-6(5) 6-1

And is in with a shout for the second:

QF:  Alexander Blockx (BEL) WR 953 (CH = 933 last month) vs (3) Jay Clarke WR 518

The Belgian, who's only 18, saw off Leo Borg (WC/8) by 5 & 2 earlier...

 Blockx is the top-ranked junior.

World number 1

He won the Aussie Open (junior) this year

His best results have been on hard, rather than clay, though.

If he Blockx our path to 20 in the top 500, I won't be a happy bunny.

As long as our Jay is a chip off the old block, we'll be fine

(or lots of chips off the new blockx maybe.....)
