Hell do well to win tomorrow but thats the result of a man thats starting to fulfil clear talent. Well done George.

Who was it on this board that was waxing lyrical about him years ago? Youre being proved right now!

I'll just sit and smile smile

But, to be honest, I had him and Jack Draper as about the same. Which is not quite right biggrin

But that's coz Jack has surpassed my expectations - which is great

Loffers lost the first set in a flash - 1-6

But the second is a lot tighter

Top seed, Rudolph, has just served for the match at *5-4

But George had lots of break-back points - which he couldn't convert

And then saved several match points

then another break point... which he lost

And then finally another - which he won !

5-5

George got it into a TB - and was leading 4-2

But then lost the next few points, and the match, 6-1 7-6(4)

Which is fine - I'm not sure another three-set gruelling match would have been great.

Losing to the top seed is still a very good week.

Well done, that man

Decent week for George was always going to be tough today after a long one yesterday. Things seems to be coming together and heading in the right direction.

George has to be in the mix for a Wimbledon MDWC. His overall ranking is a bit low but in the ATP live race he is 277. A couple of good results on grass and I'd personally give him one along with Liam, Ryan and Jan.

Always thought George had great potential. Then it all went quiet and I assumed he'd turned his back on tennis. Great that he hasn't and the progress he is making this year is a welcome sight. Really hope it's not long before he's getting stuck in at challenger lever and then hopefully the main tour.
