Didn't see the match but as said a couple of pages back, "the Canadian is someone I've been following for a while - he's 6ft 8 and has a lot of talent - Liam didn't do too much wrong", and I'm guessing Dan didn't too much wrong either.
There's been a lot of talk about Gabriel, a lot of buzz. He's impressive.
Ooof - Evo taken out by the 6'8" Canadian who did for Liam.""
Those big young power players really are Kryptonite for Dan...

Extract from the end of Elgan Alderman's report in The Times on Jack Draper's continuing injury woes, which will cause him to miss the entire grass court season (link to it in the relevant individual player forum):
There was further bad news for the British men at the Surbiton Trophy where Evans, the No 1 seed, lost in the second round against Gabriel Diallo. The 21-year-old from Canada, who is ranked No 146 in the world, is 6ft 8in and used all that to his advantage in a 7-5, 6-2 win. "I didn't serve well, difficult conditions, it was very windy," Evans said. "Then on top, he's obviously going to be a very good tennis player, already is, and I don't know what he served, but he served amazingly well."
Evans said he would play at The Queen's Club, but had not decided on other tournaments such as Nottingham next week. "It's difficult to keep playing," he said. "There's not much to be gained really apart from people are just having a crack at you and that's difficult, as we saw today. He played some free-swinging tennis and that was too good. And he was better than me. That's the bottom line. He was better today."
