Norrie should come to the net more as thats what helped him seal the win after Pouille suddenly started to fire loads of winners .

He should though be happy overall with that performance .

Yes, pleased for Norrie

Lucas Pouille has had a great tournament, all things considered. Norrie deserved this one.

Mind you, France's mega woes continue.

Despite 'Le Monf's' most amazing comeback last night (he was lying on the court, crying his eyes out like a baby ), there's barely anyone left.

Young Luca Van Assche (who's doing Maths at uni in Paris) is two sets down at the moment. Moutet will be irritating but surely doesn't stand much chance against Rublev. And Gael will be on one leg tomorrow.

There's a very very good chance there won't be a single Frenchman in R3....

(and the women is hardly any better....)

 Rinderknech has Fritz tomorrow, possible upset chance there I think?

 And sadly , Gael gave a walkover to Rune after his amazing opening round performance .

It's not even that sad, really

It was such an amazing night, and he was SO never going to beat Rune, not in the first place, and not ever now, after the five-setter

I think he thought he'd stop, in the glory light, and not go out with a fizzle

And go and watch his wife, instead

(And, of course, his left wrist is hurting too)
