Never really give two hoots about the doubles but great to see that all four pairs got a R1 win, especially with a few unusual contenders in amongst them - that's 25 points for each of them, and about £800.
Have been at Nottingham for the last three days and saw the majority of both of Georges matches.
Must say I was really impressed by the way he was hitting the ball and exuding confidence - it really showed that he has been winning lots of matches recently.
Look forward to seeing more of him in the future.
Yesterday, Andy was well just Andy - always in control against De Loore and he was in a great mood. He spent a lot of time with the crowd (particularly the youngsters) after leaving the court and before heading into the players lounge, signing autographs and balls and having pictures taken. Really good stuff.
This morning Liam always seemed to be playing catch up and it all felt a bit of a struggle really so his loss ended up not being too surprising.
Arthur did well against Steve Johnson but Koepfer was just too good today.
Id never been to the Nottingham before but very well run with lots of space, good catering etc. Could do with a bit more shade though(guess this is not usually a problem!)
